Lookie, lookie another post of MY kids 
It’s been a busy Holiday season(THANKS to my wonderful clients for keeping me busy!!!), and being so busy with client work, I’ve neglected my own poor children…hope no one is expecting Christmas Cards from us this year, LOL! Last week I take a break from editing & walk into the living room to see Caleb, my 4 year old playing in the living room floor with his dinosaurs. Nothing different from most other days in the week, but looking at him, it hit me that my babies are growing up SO FAST!!! I got my camera & took some pictures while he played. Yes he is still in his PJ’s, but that’s how we roll on Friday’s, when he doesn’t have school…these are some of my favorite pictures of him ever, because it’s ALL HIM!!! I put them in a storyboard that I will have printed to hang in his room…
When Aubrey, my 6 year old got home from school, I wanted to do the same thing with her. Well what I want & I what I get is 2 different things She is 110% GIRL, she is all about posing & smiling & curtsy-ing & doing this crazy head tilt, girly thing….so I didn’t get as much as I wanted with her, but what I did get, I LOVE!!!

No, this is not a GAP ad, but it very well could be. How GORGEOUS are these kids?! I had a blast with these 4 yesterday, those twins are something else! These kids are just as sweet as they are beautiful, thanks for hanging out with me guys, hope the ice cream was worth it

Occasionally I get the chance to post pictures of my kiddos on my blog…most times they totally avoid me when I have a camera, or give me smiles that make them look like a rabid dog is chewing off their leg…so yeah, pictures of my kids are few & far between. Which is why I LOVE Holiday & special occasions where they have other things to take their mind off off Momma with the camera. I am blessed with 2 such occasions in the month of October-Caleb’s Birthday & Halloween.
Caleb turned 4 on October 29, you can see his current obsession is Super Mario Brothers, as that was the party theme(and as you get to the Halloween part of this post, you see the obsession there as well). I ordered an AWESOME cake from a local baker, I avoid cake baking-actually just the decorating part-at all costs, my family sincerely appreciates me for this. I did make the cupcakes, along with homemade buttercream icing(YUM!!!) and the cake pops….oh the cake pops….I have made these before & they are SO.VERY.TIME.CONSUMING, but so very good! While looking for party ideas on Pinterest I saw a tip to buy donut holes & use those, which saves tons of time. I thought “why not?!” Now I know why not, donut holes are NOT nice & pretty & perfectly round, they are lumpy & mishapen which in turn leads to lumpy & mishapen cake pops. So while they were not pretty in the least, they were very, very yummy!! So if you ever feel like you want to save some time & get donut holes, DON’T!!! I need to try one of those cake pop machine thingys, has anyone used one of those?
I got a little crafty with this party, making the birthday banner & the blocks that held the aforementioned ugly cake pops. I was quite proud of those if I do say so myself I can’t take all the credit, I found tons of stuff on Pinterest, if you haven’t found Pinterest, you must do so now!!! It’s AWESOME!
The kids could care less about food, cake, cupcakes & cake pops because we had a ginourmous blow-up slide in the backyard. The thing was HUGE!! It was so much fun, all the kids had a blast & us adults got to enjoy it as well.
And now for Halloween…Remember the Super Mario Brothers obsession, well both of my kids have it. Caleb was Mario of course & not to be outdone by her little brother, Aubrey was Princess Peach. We trick-or-treated for about an hour & they each came home with their weight in candy, and of course wanted to eat it ALL when we walked in the door.
And that is the last time you will see my kids until Christmas, and hopefully they will cooperate then!

Meet Miss Hannah! She was 2 weeks old at our session, and slept nearly the entire time, I think I only saw her eyes for the last 20 minutes of the session. Big brother Eli sat down for a couple of pictures, but as you can imagine at nearly 2 years old it was brief

I’m going to post pictures of these gorgeous children first….then their Mom, and you will see where they get their stunning good looks from!!! These kiddos were so sweet & cooperative, this session just flew by. Sometimes I feel bad having so much fun with my job…sometimes

Meet miss Eden, a ripe 7 days old! She was a tiny little peanut weighing 6 lbs. 9 oz when she was born, and she was a dream to photograph!!

Moving update & a couple of sneak peeks | Decatur, AL Photographer

Well, we have finally gotten moved to Decatur & are somewhat settled….I have drastically reduce the amount of boxes in the house, but there are plenty more to be unpacked & I still haven’t found a permanent home for everything, that will come in time. I am currently working on my office & STUDIO….yep, I said STUDIO!!!! One of the main reasons for us purchasing the home we did(besides the fact that it is absolutely gorgeous!!!) is that there is a nice, cute little building in the backyard that is perfect for my studio. So Jennifer Weddington Photography will now be offering studio photography in addition to on-location photography!! I’m already planning my open house, so stayed tuned for that information. I look forward to seeing my present clients as well as lots of new faces.
Now on to the sneak peeks…The move got me a bit behind on blogging so I’m going to share 2 session sneak peeks in this post.
First up is the wedding of Whitney & Chris. The day was gorgeous & the bride was STUNNING!!!!! They wrote their own vows & they were so heartfelt. So many people came to share this wonderful day with Whitney & Chris that they had to bring in extra chairs & people were standing against the wall in the back of the church. This is definitely a loved couple and upon meeting them, it’s obvious why. Congratulations guys & may you have a blessed life together!
And up next is Miss Bristol who turned one the day after our session. Her mom wanted a couple of pictures of Bristol & big brother Ezra as well, & I just had to get a few of Ezra by himself during Bristol’s outfit changes, he is such a handsome guy!!!!

Here is Miss Sonni, she just turned 1 so it was time for her one year portraits. She was such a big girl, running around being happy….well, until it was time for a clothing change, she didn’t like that AT ALL!!! Just wait until she is 5, like my little girl…you won’t be able to keep her from changing clothes!

I love me some chunky babies!!!! And this handsome guy was as chunky as they come! His Mom is a sweet friend of mine, and we got together to do his 9 month(though he’s already 10 months…) baby plan session. He was such a good little guy, and definitely a charmer.
