Operation Love ReUnited

June 14, 2010

Giving back to the community is VERY important to me. I feel I am very blessed to be where I am today, doing something that I love SO MUCH. I want to be able to give back as much as I can, and one of those ways was by joining Operation Love ReUnited. Operation Love ReUnited is a national, non-profit organization. It is made up of photographers who volunteer their time for sessions for deploying or returning soldiers. If you have a friend or loved one who is deployed, or if you yourself are currently deployed or will be deploying soon, please check out OPLOVE to find a participating photographer in your area!

K. had been deployed for many months, but was recently able to come back home. You could tell they were so happy to be together again! They were SO in love, & so much fun!!!!!

Here are a couple of more Mommy & Me mini sessions. I’m still trying to get them all rescheduled due to crazy amounts of rain! Spring time in Alabama is just too unpredictable!

This sweet boy is just 3 months old, hope you had a wonderful first Mother’s Day K!!!

And this adorable girl was FULL of energy!  Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day as well A, just think NEXT Mother’s Day you’ll have 2 beautiful children to celebrate with!

One thing that I love about my job is that I am able to see babies grow up. I feel honored that parents choose me to capture their children from the time they are born to toddlerhood and on. This sweet boy I have photographed since he was 3 months old, he is now over a year old. I just love his gorgeous blue eyes and his sweet smile.

I got to spend an afternoon with some handsome guys…are these brothers not the cutest things you’ve ever seen?! Look how handsome they are in their shirts & ties! And they were just as sweet as they are handsome.

This weekend I had my first of 4 limited edition mini sessions for the spring. This was a Pettiskirts & Parasols session. Girls got to dress up & fun, fluffy pettiskirts, play with cute parasols, wear pretty hats & headbands…it was TONS of fun!!! Here are a few pictures from some of the sessions…

My next limited edition mini session is Easter Mini Sessions. I have only 2 spots available for these, so if you’d like to book one, do so quickly. I have Mommy & Me & Just like Dad sessions upcoming. If you’d like to receive information about these limited edition sessions, click “subscribe” at the top of this page & enter your email address to be added to my mailing list.

This past weekend I did Pettiskirts & Parasols mini sessions, which were a blast BTW!!! I decided to take my darling, sweet, angelic daughter…you see where this is going, right?…to be my assistant & so that I could attempt to get some pictures of her as well. Thankfully she did better with her pictures than she did as my assistant. The position for assistant is still open…

Operation Love Reunited

February 24, 2010

Giving back to the community is very important to me, and I’m always looking for ways to do just that. A while back I was introduced to Operation Love Reunited. It is a national non-profit organization made of photographers volunteering their services to families of deployed service members. Participating photographers will be present at the deployment and/or homecoming of the service member to take photographs, capturing those special moments. You will also be given a 4×6 album of images. Participating photographers may also include other gift items or discounts so please contact your local Op Love photographer for details. To find an Op Love photographer in your area go to OP LOVE . A big thank you to our service men & women & their families and may God bless you!

Yesterday was a GORGEOUS day…sunny, near 70*…simply beautiful!! So of course we had to go outside & play. Last time we went outside to play, it was in the snow! We played with colored chalk, rode the tricycle(Aubrey’s bicycle need air in the tire, so she had to settle for the “baby” toy…looks like she didn’t mind too much), & ran around the yard. It was nice while it lasted, it’s now 48* & raining!
