Giving back to the community is very important to me, and I’m always looking for ways to do just that. A while back I was introduced to Operation Love Reunited. It is a national non-profit organization made of photographers volunteering their services to families of deployed service members. Participating photographers will be present at the deployment and/or homecoming of the service member to take photographs, capturing those special moments. You will also be given a 4×6 album of images. Participating photographers may also include other gift items or discounts so please contact your local Op Love photographer for details. To find an Op Love photographer in your area go to OP LOVE . A big thank you to our service men & women & their families and may God bless you!

February 22, 2010Yesterday was a GORGEOUS day…sunny, near 70*…simply beautiful!! So of course we had to go outside & play. Last time we went outside to play, it was in the snow! We played with colored chalk, rode the tricycle(Aubrey’s bicycle need air in the tire, so she had to settle for the “baby” toy…looks like she didn’t mind too much), & ran around the yard. It was nice while it lasted, it’s now 48* & raining!

February 15, 2010These pictures are from last week…we actually got SNOW here. It snows about once a year & IF it sticks, it doesn’t stick around long. This was Caleb’s first time to ever play in the snow, he had a blast!!

This is one is a little soft, but I love it anyway!

February 8, 2010Sickies hit the Weddington household in the last couple of weeks, so I’m a little behind on my Mine on Monday posts.
Aubrey went to work with Daddy on Saturday so it was just me & “k-bub”(how he says Caleb). While we were playing I thought, you know I never get pics of my kids just being kids & playing. So that’s what I did. And I had to include a picture of his fat little feet too, I just love those fat feet!!!!

January 18, 2010I desperately need to take more pictures of my kids, so I’m trying something new…Mine on Monday. I hope to add pictures of my kids every Monday, even simple snapshots.
So here they here are, my sweet babies…
Caleb is 2 and ALL.BOY! He is a dinosaur(T-rex to be exact) most days, and chases his sister around roaring at her. She is less than thrilled about having a dinosaur for a brother. He loves dinosaurs(duh!) and Cars(the movie) and is the sweetest little guy in the world.

And here’s Aubrey. She is 4 and thinks she is an honest to goodness princess. Like REALLY, she does! That could be partially mine & my husband’s fault…She wants to wear dresses EVERY.DAY! Loves shoes & purses(ok that one is all MY fault), makeup and all things pink. Some days I swear she is 14 instead of 4.

Drumroll please……

November 9, 2009After a month of nonstop rain, I was so glad to finally have gorgeous fall weather for this family session last week. The Hodges family was so much fun!!! I felt like I was hanging out with life long friends, not someone I had just met that day. Hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek…

How bout a big ROLL TIDE!!!

October 23, 2009I love when clients suggest new, fun locations for their session. The R family requested a local pumpkin patch as the location for their session, and while I was a little nervous since I had never shot there(other than snaps of my kids when we have visited), I was also very excited. I love stepping out of my comfort zone & trying new things. I have to say, I LOVE this location. I basically just followed them around capturing photographs as they enjoyed the pumpkin patch. The fall colors, pumpkins & hay made perfect backdrops for these fall pictures. My main focus was 2 year old Andrew, but we got a few family shots as well.
Hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek, and thanks again for suggesting this awesome location, I have a feeling I may be offering fall mini sessions here next year.
