Snow…in Alabama…WHAT???!!!

I seldom get a chance to share personal photos here, mainly because my personal photos are the last to be edited…and because my kids refuse to look at me when I have a camera! But thankfully they were too excited to care yesterday. What were they excited about you ask???
SNOW, lots & lots of snow!! Now for those of you that are reading this from outside of Alabama, let me explain…we get snow usually once a year and it’s a dusting & is gone by the end of the day. This year has been an exception, we actually had a white Christmas this year! And low & behold, we had MORE snow yesterday, and it was more snow than I ever remember seeing! We had at least 9 inches, maybe 10. My kids LOVED it!!! We all had a blast playing in the snow, and were actually able to build a snowman!!
Here are some pictures from yesterday, I apologize in advance for the longevity of this post, but this may be the only personal photo post of 2011…Maybe I should make that one of my resolutions, to share more personal photos…hm…
This first picture was taken with my cell phone, this is the bread aisle at Walmart the day the snow was expected to come in. This is how us Alabamians deal with snow!!

2010 was a fantastic year…I had many new clients, and many returning clients. There were a few firsts for Jennifer Weddington Photography in 2010 including a wedding and a birth. I loved them both and look forward to many more weddings & births in 2011, as well as my regular portraiture sessions. I am so happy to have had made so many friendships this year. Each & every one of my clients is special to me, and I’m happy to call you all friends!
I simply can not post all of my favorite images from 2010 in one blog post, so here is just a sampling of some of my favorite client images from 2010.
Thanks again to all of my wonderful clients, you guys MADE 2010 for me!!!! Looking forward to what’s in store for 2011…

Wow, this year has flown by…2010 is almost over!!! That means it’s time for a contest!!!! Unfortunately, due to strict Facebook rules regarding promos & contests, I can’t allow participants to upload their own photos to Jennifer Weddington Photography’s Facebook page for this contest, so this is what I’ve come up with…
All participants must fill out the following application and submit ONE photo(just one, & there is an option to do this on the application itself). The photo does not have to be one taken by Jennifer Weddington Photography, it can be a snapshot. If it is a professional photo, please sure all copyright laws are followed, any entries breaking copyright laws will be deleted. (if you have questions about this, please fill free to email me). Entries will be accepted through January 2, 2011. I will then upload the photos onto the Jennifer Weddington Photography Facebook page on January 3, 2011 & voting will begin. To cast a vote, simply “like” the photo you are voting for. Only ONE vote per Facebook account per day. This will be monitored and additional votes will be deleted. Tell your friends, family, etc to cast their vote, but they must “like” Jennifer Weddington Photography in order to do so. The photo with the most “likes” will be the winner!!
This contest is open to anyone, not just current or past clients of Jennifer Weddington Photography!!
Now, on to the good stuff….What will the winner get??!! The winner will get a FREE full session with Jennifer Weddington Photography, as well as a FREE digital collection which includes 5 files along with print release. This is worth over $300!!!!
The voting will begin January 3, 2011 & will end on January 9, 2011. The winner will be announced on January 10, 2011. The winner’s session MUST take place within 30 minutes of Muscle Shoals.

I can’t believe sweet Miss Lola is now 3 months old! I started photographing her when she was still in her Mommy’s tummy. She did a wonderful job at her session, though at times she wanted nothing to do with the crazy lady with the big black thing! And her parents are raising her right…she was also more interested in the Bama game than me! can’t blame her for that one…Roll Tide Miss Lola!!!

Today is my birthday…I enjoyed being 29 so much that I’m just going try it for another year!
